New Generation iPhones Expected to Start Sales September 12

Each September things remain the same, the leaves change color, college football kicks off another season and Apple unveils its latest iPhone to the world.

A new report shows that Apple will launch its new generation iPhone September 12.

Working in reverse from the launch date, a timetable can be made about what the on-sale date will be, the date when the first reviews post and the time users of iPhones can download iOS 11.

This is able to be done since this is not the first or second time this has happened over the last few years. The release of the iPhone has fallen into what is a very predictable pattern.

However, on big exception exists that might mess with the calculations. This, reportedly, is the year in which Apple breaks from its tradition and actually releases three new handsets.

Due to that possibly happening, before dates can be considered near certain, a pair of caveats must be known.

Apple as anticipated has not said anything about its new iPhones in any official capacity. The date of the big event is based upon reports that cite anonymous sources therefore it could be wrong as well.

In addition, even if that date is in fact correct, what Apple will exactly announce, when it does announce something is still a big unknown.

However, the date fits Appleā€™s pattern of previous years. From that point, a number of additional dates come into focus.

Apple always or nearly always sends out invitations to its big even about one week prior to the gala, so during the first week of September those who are invited will likely start getting their invitations.

If in fact September 12 is the true launch date, then the new iPhones will be going on sale September 22, which is the Friday of the week after its big event. While at the same time, pre-orders begin midnight on Friday the week before or in this case September 15.

It has also been rumored that Apple will be unveiling a new generation Apple Watch. The new wearable is too young for it to have any predictable pattern for its release, but if it were to debut at the same event, there is a good likelihood it would launch along with the new iPhones, with the same dates for pre-orders and release.

That was the case for the second Apple Watch that was released.
